After a comprehensive training program, our Agents are continually coached by dedicated Managers in accuracy, professionalism, phraseology and tone to help them improve every step of the way. To measure success, Agent calls are monitored and accessed for learning opportunities and trend analysis. Alternative training modules are implemented to increase skill sets. Staff Bios
Jennifer Garcia, Staff Development Manager , has been an Alert Communications employee for nearly 20 years. Jennifer graduated from Sawyer College, receiving her paralegal Diploma in 1996, which enabled her to develop the Legal Training Module for Alert Communications. She is also responsible for training, mentoring, and coaching the Alert Communications staff of over 40 agents. Jennifer is committed to the ongoing professional development of all agents, at every level and has been instrumental in the development of a comprehensive training series required for all Supervisors and Agents. On an ongoing basis Jennifer monitors agents for specific performance levels and coaches them to advancement. Jennifer loves the company culture and flexibility of Alert Communications, which has allowed her to spend quality time with her husband and son.
Laura Juarez, Call Center Manager, has been keeping Alert Communications running smoothly for 17 years. Laura's contact with Alert Communications' clients and staff keep her professionally challenged and completely entertained, which makes for a harmonious work environment. She thoroughly enjoys her daily work life and deeply believes in the values of the company. Laura regularly participates in giving back to the community on behalf of Alert Communications. Here, she shares one example: “For the past 5 years, I have volunteered at E.O. Green Junior High School for their Portfolio Fair. I take one day and coach 8 th grade students on their Interviewing Skills, and then I act as an Interviewer the day of the Portfolio Fair. The “Interviewing Skills” workshop teaches students about first impressions, appropriate attire, and how to present their work to someone who doesn't know them, and it shows them how to be proud of what they've accomplished and instills in them a sense of confidence.” When hiring Alert agents Laura looks to our motto of Traits of a great employee: Passion, Great Attitude, Team Player, Detail Oriented, Great Communicator, and Gotta be nice. Patty Moreno, Systems Manager, has been an employee of Alert Communications for 21 years. While her main focus involves the implementation and maintenance of all software and hardware, she never hesitates to help out in any way. “I started my career with Alert in 1988 as a Cord Board Operator, and worked my way through the department by learning all of the different aspects of the Call Center. I found that I had a knack for trouble shooting and solving customers' problems, and that's what led me to the position I hold today.” Today, Patty's goal is 99.99% run time with all equipment and systems and for the last several years has met her goal. In addition to implementing and maintaining all of Alert Communications' state-of-the-art systems and equipment Patty takes a particular interest in sharing her knowledge and training our staff on the latest software upgrades. One of Patty's special joys is planning Alert employee events. Patty enjoys having a position that is never dull, where each day is a challenge and a new learning experience.
Frances Starr, Director of Sales and Marketing, loves the dedication and effort of the entire Alert Communications team. Frances joined Alert Communications as Sales Executive from 1996 to 2002. Then, after a three-year break to raise her daughter, she was excited to return to Alert Communications as Director of Sales and Marketing in 2005. “From the management staff, to the supervisors, to each agent… everyone is a team player working together to be the best they can be and to give our clients the quality service they expect.” Frances especially loves providing solutions for Alert clients, “Often, when prospective clients come to us for call answering solutions they are unaware of all our capabilities. What they know is they need their calls answered. My job is to narrow down the objective or goal that my client has for each and every call that may come through our center and then provide the best solution. It really is rewarding to know that our services directly impacts our clients bottom line.”
